Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 30 p4p, 146 weight class) and Farboleous Ricard (ranked 4 p4p, 20 weight class). Hoppe comes into the arena with Wind of Change blaring out of the sound system. Ricard has chosen Vibe Killer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 38 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Farboleous Ricard! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoppe darts in looking for a takedown but Ricard gets double underhooks and turns Hoppe into the cage. We've been informed that Ricard has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ricard misses with a lunging right hand
and Hoppe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hoppe closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ricard throws a good cross that connects.
Hoppe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hoppe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ricard on the side of the head. Ricard tests Hoppe's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hoppe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ricard.
Ricard swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ricard missing with a left hand there. Hoppe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. It looked like Hoppe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Ricard scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ricard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hoppe throws out the jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hoppe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hoppe misses with a wild body shot. Hoppe takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ricard misses with a straight left. Hoppe takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Hoppe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ricard. A slapping body kick lands there for Ricard. Ricard connects with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppe swings for the body but Ricard moves out of range.
Ricard lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Ricard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hoppe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ricard somewhat. Hoppe appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hoppe walks into a straight right hand from Ricard. Hoppe ducks under a wild hook from Ricard. Hoppe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ricard.
Ricard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hoppe.
Hoppe is looking to wear down Ricard with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hoppe misses with a straight right. Ricard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ricard throws a big shot that misses. Hoppe misses with a looping left. Ricard is trying to counter with his kicks. Ricard looks to throw a body kick and Hoppe counters with a nice uppercut. Ricard throws out a loose jab but Hoppe uses good head movement to avoid it. Hoppe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A low kick from Ricard misses and Hoppe counters with a takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ricard taking punishment in the form of punches.
Ricard manages to get back to half guard. Hoppe goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Ricard does a handstand and catches Hoppe in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Ricard on top - Hoppe is already out from the submission! Ricard gives Hoppe's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (TDPW) . Farboleous Ricard! Farboleous Ricard is the new lightweight champion! Farboleous Ricard spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
