Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jairzinho Teixeira (ranked 2137 p4p, 2403 weight class) and Rick Siver (ranked 230 p4p, 256 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

Siver takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Rick Siver has been cut.
Teixeira works the jab nicely.
Siver tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teixeira swivels and escapes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Siver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Teixeira's waist but Teixeira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Siver off to one side.
Teixeira throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Siver.

We've been told by Teixeira's head coaches at Brazilian Top Team + Ricardo Arona that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Siver darts in looking for a takedown but Teixeira gets double underhooks and turns Siver into the cage.
Jairzinho Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Siver.

Siver is trying to drag Teixeira to the mat but Teixeira just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Siver has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Teixeira after a bit of a struggle.

Siver goes for a takedown in the clinch but Teixeira prevents it.

A head punch on the inside from Siver fails to land.

Siver goes for a takedown attempt but Teixeira pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A frustrated look appears on Teixeira's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Teixeira pushes off an throws an elbow but Siver leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Teixeira throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Siver tumbling to the canvas!

Teixeira lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Rick Siver's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rick Siver's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
