Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pascal Gouveia (ranked 2999 p4p, 2770 weight class) and Angelo Bruno (ranked 298 p4p, 279 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

As Bruno tries to get set, Gouveia tries to push him back and clinch up but Bruno manages to avoid the attempt.

Gouveia is looking to control Bruno's arms but Bruno gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gouveia has his back to the ropes.

Bruno pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bruno looks to score with a jab to the body but Gouveia is just out of range.
Gouveia seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Gouveia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bruno swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bruno lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gouveia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gouveia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bruno lands with a straight right. Gouveia didn't see that one coming.
Gouveia wants to clinch up but Bruno keeps it at a distance.

Gouveia tries to counter by clinching up but Bruno breaks away and moves out of range.

A little jabbing left from Bruno on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gouveia tries to score with a low kick but Bruno moves his leg out of the way.

and Bruno counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gouveia's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bruno connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gouveia scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angelo Bruno dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gouveia is rotating here... this could be the end... Bruno is out! Gouveia has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
