Wallace walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gardner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gardner swings widly with a right hand
and Wallace counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gardner! Wallace lets Gardner back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Anton Gardner has been cut.
Gardner rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wallace rattles Gardner with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Gardner tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Wallace dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Gardner stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bubba Wallace!

A very excited looking Bubba Wallace rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
