Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chief Seminole (ranked 2711 p4p, 2578 weight class) and Toktogulovich Bakiyev (ranked 316 p4p, 299 weight class). Chief Seminole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Seminole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 38 - 46 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toktogulovich Bakiyev! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seminole fails with a takedown attempt. Bakiyev throws out a counter right but Seminole avoids it with no problem. Bakiyev gets caught flat footed, as Seminole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Seminole loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Seminole is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Seminole prevents Bakiyev from getting back to his feet. Seminole throwing strikes from guard but Bakiyev blocks nicely. Seminole working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Seminole lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bakiyev wants to stand but Seminole is controlling the position. Bakiyev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seminole connects with a couple of short punches. Seminole stops Bakiyev from standing up. Bakiyev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakiyev wants to stand but Seminole is controlling the position. Bakiyev is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Seminole throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Seminole trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bakiyev wants to get back to his feet but Seminole is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Seminole distracts Bakiyev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Seminole working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Seminole throws a big right hand that misses. Seminole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Seminole with a flurry of punches that miss. Seminole lands a couple of elbows. Seminole has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Seminole lands a couple of digs.
Bakiyev is rocked! Bakiyev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bakiyev is still in real trouble! Can Seminole finish him? Seminole postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Bakiyev covers up, he's hurt! Seminole keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Seminole and the ref steps in to end the fight! Seminole can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
