Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaz McStafferson (ranked 1082 p4p, 642 weight class) and Todd Packer (ranked 139 p4p, 84 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaz McStafferson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Packer! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Packer misses with a wild combination.
Packer throws a solid leg kick but McStafferson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Packer. McStafferson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. McStafferson fails to land the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from McStafferson. McStafferson ducks under a wild hook from Packer. McStafferson with a poor takedown and Packer counters with a left and a right that stings McStafferson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaz McStafferson. That's going to take a lot out of him. McStafferson with a poor takedown and Packer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Packer throws a leg kick which misses McStafferson's front leg but catches the back leg as McStafferson tries to avoid it. A head kick misses from Packer. McStafferson has a takedown stuffed. A chopping leg kick lands by Packer. McStafferson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McStafferson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McStafferson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Packer has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Packer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. McStafferson tries to free his leg and advance position but Packer is retaining full guard. McStafferson pushing down on Packer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McStafferson seems to be looking for submissions.
McStafferson passes to full mount! McStafferson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Packer is now in McStafferson's guard. A big mistake from McStafferson there, giving up the dominant position! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Packer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Packer lands a couple of digs. Packer trying to control but McStafferson is working from the bottom. Packer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. McStafferson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McStafferson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Packer rolls with it to try and escape but McStafferson cranks on the arm and Packer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
