Tanahashi scores with a decent looking hook.
Knight takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Tanahashi lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Knight is trying to maintain a safe position but Tanahashi gets an underhook and turns Knight into the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Knight throws an elbow but misses.
Tanahashi swings wildly with an uppercut but Knight uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looks like Patricio Knight has been cut.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Knight in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Tanahashi cracks Knight with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Knight tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tanahashi pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Knight is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

A very excited looking Akira Tanahashi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
