Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Krasnov (ranked 4223 p4p, 3724 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 494 p4p, 454 weight class). Jim Beam has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kirill Krasnov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Beam! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.

Krasnov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beam sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krasnov somewhat. Some wild striking there from Beam.

It looked like Krasnov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Beam. Good exchange - Beam coming out on top. Beam wants to clinch. Beam throws a body kick that misses. A punch combination from Beam misses. Krasnov is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Krasnov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Krasnov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beam fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Krasnov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krasnov darts in and clinches Beam up against the cage. Beam breaks from the clinch.
Beam closes the distance and clinches up with Krasnov, looking for a takedown. Beam pushes Krasnov against the cage but Krasnov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Krasnov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Beam thinks about the counter body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirill Krasnov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krasnov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Beam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Krasnov circles away quickly and effectively. Krasnov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Beam. That one must have hurt. Krasnov shoots in and drives through. Beam sprawls well. Krasnov misses with a wild body shot. Beam has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Nice uppercut lands for Beam. That snapped Krasnov's head back.

Krasnov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Krasnov misses with a short punch on the inside. Beam tries to break free but Krasnov pushes him back against the cage. Krasnov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Beam gets control of Krasnov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beam will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Beam pulls Krasnov in close to his closed guard and prevents Krasnov from doing any damage or advancing position. Krasnov looking to pass the guard. Beam tries to land a sweep but no joy. Beam is looking for a triangle here but Krasnov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Beam wants to get back to his feet but Krasnov drags him back down. Krasnov working away. Krasnov is looking to take a break and control but Beam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Beam tries to strike but it doesn't land. Beam tries to buck Krasnov off but Krasnov is having none of it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Beam is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Beam throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Jim Beam dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Beam checks the leg kick nicely there.

Jim Beam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Krasnov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nice sprawl there from Krasnov as Beam shoots in. Jim Beam seems to be getting the better of the standup. A swing and a miss from Krasnov. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Krasnov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Beam.

Beam takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Beam has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Krasnov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Beam takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Krasnov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Beams jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Good leg kick by Beam. Beam misses with a few strikes there.

A looping hook to the body misses from Krasnov. Beam does a little dance to reset his feet. Beam looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Krasnov walks into a jab. Beam lands a head shot. Krasnov ducks under a wild hook from Beam. Beam takes a swing at Krasnov's ribcage but misses. Krasnov attempts a counter takedown but Beam avoids it well and moves away. Beam throws the kick towards the body but Krasnov avoids it. Krasnov is looking to counter punch. Krasnov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beam. Beam looks to land a body kick but Krasnov moved away. Krasnov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Krasnov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

He has the arm isolated but Beam is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Beam misses with a body kick. Krasnov is looking to counter punch. Beam throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Beam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krasnov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Krasnov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Krasnov is trying to stick to Beam's back but Beam is turning into Krasnov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Krasnov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Beam.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beam working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Krasnov's head. Krasnov is trying to control the position but Beam postures up. Beam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krasnov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Krasnov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beam is aware though and is defending well. Beam trying to control the position from guard on top but Krasnov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jim Beam is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Beam not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Krasnov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Beam content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Krasnov wants to hit a sweep here but Beam passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Krasnov there! Kirill Krasnov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Beam trying to control but Krasnov is having none of it. Krasnov is in a horrible position here. Beam smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Jim Beam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Beam winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jim Beam! A very excited looking Jim Beam rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
