Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thorvald Nansen (ranked 5110 p4p, 4840 weight class) and Junior Senior (ranked 609 p4p, 594 weight class). Nansen comes into the arena with Benny Jamz - Torden blaring out of the sound system. Junior Senior is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Senior has his takedown stuffed
and Nansen counters with a slapping leg kick.
Senior's coach down at Navy Street MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Senior's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Thorvald Nansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Senior will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Senior gets the takedown into side control.
Senior tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nansen sneaks back into half guard.
Nansen wants to improve his position but Senior is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Senior wants to work for an arm triangle but Nansen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nansen tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Senior manages to move to mount!

Senior is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nansen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Nansen manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Nansen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Nansen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Senior can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nansen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Senior is one step ahead there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Nansen trying to keep a closed guard but Senior is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Senior trying to control the position from guard on top but Nansen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Senior pushes down on Nansen's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Junior Senior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Senior has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
