Gomes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jakobe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Rubens Gomes has been cut.
Jakobe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gomes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jakobe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gomes misses with a left hand
and Jakobe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rubens Gomes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jakobe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gomes fails to land the takedown.
Gomes gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jakobe .
That has opened up Rubens Gomes 's cut even more.
Jakobe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gomes sprawling to the canvas! Gomes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jakobe finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jakobe fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Gomes to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Gomes looks to clinch but Jakobe throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Gomes taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
