Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Woodie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sami Holm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Woodie! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holm but Holm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sami Holm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holm fails with the takedown so Woodie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Holm is trying to control the position but Woodie postures up. Holm looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woodie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Woodie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Holm keeping full guard, as Woodie tries to pass. Holm looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Holm throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Woodie working away. Woodie trying to control the action but Holm is working from the bottom. Holm is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A lull in the action here. Woodie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Holm is not content to let Woodie control the position. Holm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woodie on the ground. Holm sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Holm tries to roll over but Woodie keeps him under control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Holm taking some punishment here, with Woodie in his half guard. Woodie wants to take a breather but Holm is having none of it. Woodie keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Woodie is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Holm has managed to free his arm - good work. Holm looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Woodie drops an elbow to the side of Holm's head. Holm actively working from the bottom here. Woodie prevents Holm from improving his position.

Woodie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Holm has his takedown stuffed and Woodie counters with a shoot takedown. Holm fights it but they end up in guard. Holm looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Woodie tries for a takedown but Holm circles away easily and Holm counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woodie can't keep his opponent in guard - Holm advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Woodie missing with punches from the bottom.

Woodie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Holm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woodie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Holm avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Woodie dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Holm shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Woodie's guard. Holm wants to stand and escape but instead Woodie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Holm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woodie is one step ahead there. Holm is looking for a triangle but Woodie pushes his legs off easily.
Woodie stops Holm from standing up. Holm is looking for a triangle here but Woodie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Woodie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holm keeps working. Woodie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Holm kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Woodie is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holm is trying to control Woodie's posture but Woodie avoids it. Holm tries to improve position but can't. Woodie tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Check out the look on Woodie's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Woodie gets to his feet. Holm looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Woodie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Woodie trying to control the position from guard on top but Holm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holm wants to stand but Woodie is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holm has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Woodie is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Holm. Holm can't do much from the bottom here. Holm is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Woodie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Holm tries to get to full guard but Woodie has control of the leg. Holm trying to hold on to Woodie's head to control him but Woodie postures up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sami Holm will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Holm takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Holm tries to get back to half guard but can't. Holm is working hard here to advance position. Woodie lands some shots froms side control. Woodie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Woodie just content to control the position. Holm tries to improve position but can't. Woodie wants to control but Holm is keeping him busy. Holm wants to control but Woodie postures up.

Woodie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Woodie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Holm is keeping the position for now. Holm wants to sweep but no luck. Holm keeping full guard, as Woodie tries to pass. Holm had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Woodie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Holm Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Woodie's back instead. Woodie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Holm's guard. Nice work there by Woodie.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Woodie working over Holm with some ground and pound. Holm looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Woodie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Woodie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woodie tries for a takedown but Holm circles away easily and Holm counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Woodie! You get the feeling that Woodie really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Holm looking to control but Woodie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Woodie bucks Holm off and manages to get back to his feet! Woodie doesn't succeed with the takedown so Holm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Woodie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Holm puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Woodie regains full guard. Nicely done. Woodie trying to control the position here. Holm preventing the sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Woodie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Holm tries to lock up and control but Woodie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeremy Woodie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Woodie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
