Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richie Fortune (ranked 3224 p4p, 3493 weight class) and Don Johns (ranked 405 p4p, 429 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richie Fortune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Don Johns!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.

Fortune clinches with his opponent.
Fortune wants to get back to striking at distance but Johns won't allow it.

Fortune manages to break the clinch.

Fortune gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A shot in the inside from Johns.
Fortune lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Johns creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Still in the clinch, Fortune scores with a nice short uppercut.
Fortune tries to circle away but Johns has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fortune counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fortune gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Johns keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fortune's efforts to push away.
Fortune lands a right hand.
A head punch on the inside from Fortune fails to land.
Johns keeps control of Fortune as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Fortune can't break the clinch.
Fortune looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Johns blocking some punches.
Fortune tries to break the clinch but Johns is controlling the position.
Fortune is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Johns closes the distance and pushes Fortune back into the cage.

Fortune breaks from the clinch.
Fortune tries to clinch up but Johns circles away and keeps his distance.
Johns takes a swing at Fortune's ribcage but misses.
Fortune smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Fortune clinches.
Johns takes a shot to the head.
Fortune wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Johns escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fortune tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johns swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johns now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Fortune takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fortune swinging wildly here.
A nice side step and Johns releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Fortune on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fortune doesn't manage to clinch there - Johns circles away.

Johns rushes Fortune and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fortune tries to clinch but Johns moves out of range.
Johns fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Fortune drives through and clinches with Johns against the cage.

and Johns counters with a stiff right hand.
Fortune moves in looking to clinch but Johns pushes him off.

Fortune has closed the distance and engaged Johns in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Johns.
Fortune looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Fortune breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fortune was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fortune looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Fortune throws a good cross that connects.

Fortune fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johns, pushing him back against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Fortune scores with a nice short uppercut.
Fortune is trying to push Johns away but Johns has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Johns.
Fortune is trying to force a seperation but Johns has the dominant position.
Richie Fortune has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Johns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johns has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johns there as he acknowledges the shot.

Fortune scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fortune lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Johns connects with a right hand. Fortune shakes it off.
Fortune lands a nice shot that snaps Johns's head back.
Fortune fails with an attempt to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johns throws a right hand that misses
and Fortune counters with a nice uppercut.
Johns keeps the fight on the outside.
Fortune wants to clinch but Johns slips to the side
and Johns counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fortune thinking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richie Fortune dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Fortune is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johns can do to turn this around?

Fortune cracks Johns with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Johns counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fortune is looking to clinch but Johns is avoiding it.
Johns takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Johns walks into a stiff left hand from Fortune.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johns. Fortune does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fortune tries to clinch but Johns is having none of it.

Fortune wants to clinch but Johns slips to the side

and Johns counters with a crisp right hand that drops Fortune! Johns lets Fortune back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fortune is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johns is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Fortune flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fortune is out cold! Johns holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
