Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seymour Hughes (ranked 227 p4p, 427 weight class) and Jack Lynn (ranked 26 p4p, 52 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Self. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Seymour Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Lynn! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

enabling Lynn to counter with a crisp jab. Lynn scores with a hook to the body. Hughes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lynn ducks under a wild hook from Hughes. Lynn throws a hook to the side of Hughes's head but Hughes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hughes throws a right and a left that Lynn avoids nicely. Hughes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hughes misses the jab. Lynn with a nice cross. Lynn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hughes regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lynn. Hughes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hughes, not yet. Hughes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lynn working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hughes pulls Lynn in close to prevent any damage.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lynn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lynn landing with the ground and pound. Lynn throwing strikes from guard but Hughes blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lynn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hughes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hughes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lynn throwing strikes but missing. Hughes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lynn distracts Hughes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lynn scoring with some ground and pound. Lynn working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lynn postures up and lands a big shot to Hughes's brow. Hughes is trying to control the position but Lynn postures up. Hughes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hughes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lynn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lynn's corner. There ya go! There ya go! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lynn working his ground and pound in the gym. Lynn passes Hughes's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughes looking for submissions off his back. Lynn working over Hughes with some ground and pound. Hughes looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lynn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hughes is just riding it out for now. Lynn eventually gives up the hold. Hughes looking for submissions off his back. Lynn is working for a kimura but Hughes is defending it quite comfortably.
Lynn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hughes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Lynn dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Lynn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hughes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Donk. Hughes catches Lynn right on the button with a cross. Lynn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lynn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nice shot by Lynn. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lynn. Hughes checks a low kick from Lynn. The fighters circling - Lynn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hughes throws a lazy right hand but Lynn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hughes checks a low kick from Lynn. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynn uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lynn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hughes's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynn scoring with punches and elbows. Hughes struggling a bit here. Hughes is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lynn connects with a decent elbow. Lynn lands an elbow. Hughes can't do much from the bottom here. Lynn creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Hughes takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lynn scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hughes to see if he's OK.
Hughes is rocked! Lynn in side control lands a decent elbow. Oh Hughes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynn scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hughes is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lynn can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
