Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Conor McBright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McMullin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McBright dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McMullin. That did some damage!
McMullin checks a leg kick.
McBright takes one on the button.
McBright tries a low kick but McMullin avoids it.
McBright takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jab by McMullin.
McMullin throws a series of punches but McBright moves out of range.

McMullin pushes McBright up against the cage in a clinch.
McMullin taking a breather.

McMullin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McBright looks for the body kick but McMullin saw that one coming.
McMullin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McBright as he jumps to the side.
We've been hearing reports that McBright has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McBright throws a hook to the side of McMullin's head but McMullin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McBright getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McMullin closes this distance looking for a takedown but McBright circles away.
McMullin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McBright avoids it really well and circles away.
Conor McBright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McMullin.
McBright lands a nice shot that snaps McMullin's head back.
McMullin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Conor McBright is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McBright tries a head kick but it misses.
McMullin with the counter takedown but McBright avoids it easily.
McMullin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
McBright throws a leg kick but McMullin sees it coming and moves out of range.

McMullin catches McBright napping and connects with a big right hand that sends McBright to the canvas!

McBright is rocked!

It looks like Conor McBright has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McMullin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Oh McBright is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McMullin works a leg free and moves into half guard.

McMullin is controlling the pace.
McBright seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McBright wants to get back to his feet.
McMullin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Prosper Training. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
McMullin is keen to just control but McBright is a slippery customer.

McMullin works his way into side control.
McBright wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
McMullin staying calm.
Let's hope that McMullin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McBright is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McBright stops McMullin from passing to mount.
McMullin wants to control but McBright is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McMullin connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John McMullin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Conor McBright's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

McMullin checks a leg kick.
McMullin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McMullin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
McMullin works the jab nicely.
Good leg kick by McBright.
McMullin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McBright tries to land a front kick but McMullin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
McBright bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! McMullin comes at him with an uppercut from hell! McBright falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! McBright was out before he hit the floor!
