Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Spite (ranked 4260 p4p, 3428 weight class) and Wesley Shutes (ranked 547 p4p, 469 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Shutes misses with a kick to the body.
Shutes tried to score with a low kick but Spite checks it.
Spite misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shutes throws a body shot but no joy.
Shutes showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Spite.
Shutes lands with a good body shot.
Spite avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spite scores with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shutes swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Shutes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A leg kick checked by Spite.
Shutes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Spite avoids the head kick by Shutes.

Shutes connects with a solid leg kick.
Spite has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shutes finds it's way round the side to connect with Spite's head.
Shutes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Spite gets the takedown into side control.
Shutes prevents Spite from improving position.
Shutes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spite wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Spite advances to full mount.
Spite avoids the attempt from Shutes to control.
Shutes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Spite looking for a guillotine from mount but Shutes is having none of it.
Shutes tries to hold on but Spite pushes him away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Spite is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shutes has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shutes working to try and regain half guard.

Spite working for a submission but Shutes is keeping him at bay.
Spite with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Spite swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
