Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Kilpatrick (ranked 279 p4p, 341 weight class) and Rhymin Slayin (ranked 46 p4p, 56 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Kilpatrick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rhymin Slayin! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Steven Brown.

Slayin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kilpatrick is landing a low percentage of strikes. Slayin throws a hook to the side of Kilpatrick's head but Kilpatrick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kilpatrick tries to counter with a takedown but Slayin is quick to defend against it. A decent looking cross lands there for Kilpatrick. Nice defenses there by Kilpatrick. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Slayin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kilpatrick has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kilpatrick and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kilpatrick lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Rhymin Slayin has been cut. Rhymin Slayin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slayin lands with a good body shot. Kilpatrick scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kilpatrick missing with a left hand there. Slayin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Slayin looks like he wants to counter punch here. A close second round but Rhymin Slayin will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Rhymin Slayin's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Kilpatrick scores with a nice right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kilpatrick takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kilpatrick uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slayin. Kilpatrick takes a swing at Slayin's ribcage but misses. Kilpatrick lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Slayin falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kilpatrick dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Kilpatrick! An out of breath Jesse Kilpatrick thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
