Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donny Platt (ranked 1561 p4p, 2056 weight class) and Dennis Oakley (ranked 189 p4p, 226 weight class). Oakley has chosen Mechanical Maggots by Abnormity as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dennis Oakley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Platt.
Oakley swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Platt shoots in looking for a takedown but Oakley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Platt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

It seemed like Oakley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Platt goes for a double leg but Oakley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Oakley continues to drive forward.

Platt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oakley's waist but Oakley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Platt off to one side.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Platt creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Oakley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
