Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akeen Coker (ranked 291 p4p, 311 weight class) and Benson Whyte (ranked 44 p4p, 45 weight class). Whyte has chosen Bob Marley - Jammin as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akeen Coker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 41 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benson Whyte! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whyte with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Coker to score with a decent uppercut. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Coker. Whyte shrugs it off though. Coker thuds a left hand into Whyte's body. Whyte goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Coker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Nice straight punches there by Whyte. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Whyte. Coker throws the left hand but Whyte avoids the punch easily. Coker lands a jab.
It looks like Benson Whyte has been cut. Whyte throws a leg kick but Coker moved away. A punch lands to the side of Whyte 's head but he takes it in his stride. Coker throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Whyte to counter with a crisp jab. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coker throws out a leg kick but Whyte moves out of range and Coker only half commits. Whyte smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Coker throws a front kick aimed at Whyte's knee but Whyte avoids it well. Whyte swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Coker throws a solid leg kick but Whyte takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Coker. Whyte appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Coker with a hook. Coker connects with a solid leg kick. Coker fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Whyte steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coker. Coker throws a low kick, looking for Whyte's leg but Whyte calmly moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coker throws a looping overhand right but Whyte ducks down to avoid it. Whyte moves into range and connects with a jab. Whyte ducks under a wild hook from Coker. Coker misses with a leg kick and Whyte counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coker delivers a nice body kick. Whyte shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Coker is looking to counter punch. Coker fails in his attempt to clinch. Whyte thuds his right hand into Coker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Coker. Coker throws a wild body kick that Whyte sees coming a mile off. Whyte looks to throw the jab but Coker is out of range. Coker lunges at Whyte with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Whyte's hand. Coker walks into a stiff left hand from Whyte. Whyte moves out of range as Coker strikes. Coker ducks under a wild hook from Whyte. Whyte misses with a hook
and Coker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whyte moves out of range of the body kick from Coker.

It looked like Coker wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Coker throws a hook but Whyte avoids it easily. Coker connects with a leg kick. That kick from Coker tenderised Whyte's leg. Whyte is trying to keep his angry face on. Coker throws a body punch but Whyte moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whyte misses with a straight right. Coker looks to land a right hand but Whyte moved out of range. Whyte swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A big right from Whyte misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akeen Coker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Benson Whyte's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coker, as that shot connected.
A telegraphed right hand from Coker misses the target. Coker throws the left hand but Whyte avoids the punch easily. Akeen Coker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Whyte closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Whyte drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Coker right on the button. Coker goes down! Whyte follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Whyte gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benson Whyte! Benson Whyte decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
