Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Smith (ranked 3367 p4p, 2251 weight class) and Alfredo Alliterez (ranked 418 p4p, 300 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alfredo Alliterez! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alliterez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alliterez moves away. Sloppy strikes from Alliterez. Those never looked like landing. Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jake Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alliterez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Alliterez throws a jab when Smith was well out of range. Smith dips to his left and cracks Alliterez with an uppercut! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alliterez throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely. Smith misses with a left hand and Alliterez counters with a left to the body. Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Alliterez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith. Alliterez's coach down at TZY MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Alliterez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Alliterez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith throws the left hand but Alliterez avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alliterez lands a glancing blow to the side of Smith's head. Alliterez misses with a few strikes there.

Alliterez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Smith is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Alliterez throws a combination that misses and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Alliterez thinking. Alliterez looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alliterez misses with a shot to the body letting Smith counter with a right hand. Jab, jab by Smith - just one landing. Alliterez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Smith knocks out Alliterez with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Smith before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Smith picks up the big W with a huge KO!
