Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rami Keimola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Markkanen! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Keimola as Markkanen shoots in. Keimola shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Markkanen's guard. Markkanen keeping moving, preventing Keimola from controlling successfully. Keimola lands a couple of decent looking shots. Markkanen keeping moving, preventing Keimola from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Keimola is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Markkanen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Markkanen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Markkanen misses with a takedown attempt and Keimola counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Markkanen! Rami Keimola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikko Markkanen. Keimola is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Markkanen is squirming around, avoiding Keimola's attempts to control the action. Keimola is looking to stand but Keimola has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Keimola gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Markkanen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rami Keimola overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Keimola looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Markkanen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Keimola could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Markkanen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Keimola is looking to control Markkanen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Keimola avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keimola has a hand on Markkanen's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Markkanen takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Markkanen prevents Keimola from getting the reversal. Keimola is working hard here to advance position. Keimola is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Markkanen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Keimola tries to get back to half guard but can't. Markkanen looking to control and managing it successfully. Keimola is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rami Keimola will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rami Keimola's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Markkanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Keimola to the mat! Keimola manages to get full guard. Keimola tries to land a sweep but no joy. Markkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Keimola. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Keimola not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Markkanen shoots in and bounces Keimola off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Keimola looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Markkanen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Keimola working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Markkanen has passed into half guard!
