Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armor King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - Gematria. King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hellbound. The key to victory for Andy McCoy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy fails with a takedown attempt.
McCoy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

King tries to keep at a distance but McCoy has taken the fight into the clinch.

King has hold of one of McCoy's legs. McCoy is fighting the takedown attempt but King gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
King scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

McCoy looks like he's trying to stand up.
King seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
McCoy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McCoy.
King pushes down on McCoy's leg and manages to get into half guard.

King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

McCoy works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

McCoy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCoy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McCoy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes King off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Armor King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy fails with the takedown

and King counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by King.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCoy wants to stand up but King is controlling him.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to McCoy's temple.
King slips a nice elbow through McCoy's hands, connecting with McCoy's forehead.
McCoy tries to kick King off but King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

McCoy is rocked!

It looks like Andy McCoy has been cut.
King blocks the strikes from McCoy.
McCoy tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCoy is looking to escape.
McCoy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but King scores with a couple of nice shots.
King stops McCoy from getting back to his feet.
McCoy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. King lands a nice short elbow.
King prevents McCoy from improving his position.

King drops an elbow to the side of McCoy's head.

King is looking for a kimura but McCoy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for King to get the leverage.
McCoy is trying to stand back up but King is controlling him
King winds up and cracks McCoy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
King slips a nice elbow through McCoy's hands, connecting with McCoy's forehead.
King uses his free foot to push down on McCoy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McCoy.
King with shots to the head and body - McCoy looks very uncomfortable down there.
Oh McCoy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCoy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCoy tries to hold on but King postures up.
McCoy seems to have got his legs back now.
McCoy is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Armor King dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Andy McCoy's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

King misses with a takedown attempt

and McCoy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
King has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McCoy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

King prevents McCoy from breaking the clinch.
King drops down looking for an ankle pick but McCoy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Andy McCoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armor King.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McCoy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

King distracts McCoy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jeez, Andy McCoy's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
King connects with a couple of short punches.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andy McCoy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
