Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marv Nemera (ranked 1458 p4p, 1320 weight class) and Bryan Gracie (ranked 193 p4p, 176 weight class). Gracie has chosen Limp Bizkit - Rollin' as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marv Nemera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryan Gracie! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nemera lands with a cross. Gracie avoids the body shot from Nemera.
Gracie feints the counter takedown. Sloppy strikes from Nemera. Those never looked like landing. And Gracie tries to counter it with a takedown but Nemera pushes his down on his head and steps out. Nemera tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nemera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gracie's coach down at Ashbourne Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gracie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Nemera swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gracie wants to control from the top but Nemera keeps moving. Gracie preventing the sweep. Nemera keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nemera scores with a jab to the body. Nemera tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot. Marv Nemera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nemera is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nemera drops Gracie with a left and a right! Oh, Gracie is hurt - Nemera dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Bryan Gracie has been cut. Gracie is trying to improve his position. Nemera wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Gracie struggling a bit here. Nemera wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.

Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nemera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nemera is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Nemera trying to control the position but Gracie is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nemera tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well. Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nemera tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Nemera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marv Nemera dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bryan Gracie's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Nemera misses with a wild combination.

Nemera keeps the fight on the outside. Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nemera scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though. Sloppy strikes from Nemera. Those never looked like landing. Gracie feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket. A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride. Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marv Nemera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Nemera manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nemera lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nemera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab. Nemera misses with a two punch combination.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nemera as he avoids it easily. Marv Nemera is winning the standup battle so far. Nemera lands a jab to the head.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nemera, as that shot connected.

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nemera won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nemera tries to improve position but can't. Gracie seems to have recovered his senses. Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Marv Nemera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nemera is trying to work for a sweep but Gracie has mounted him! Nemera is trying desperately to improve position. Gracie tries to control but Nemera wriggling away. Gracie goes for an armbar but Nemera turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nemera. Nemera wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Nemera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nemera is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around? Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nemera not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Marv Nemera dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Bryan Gracie's cut. That's time! Nemera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nemera jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nemera tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nemera to the ground. Nemera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A cross from Nemera lands. Nemera looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nemera connects with a crisp jab. Nemera lands with a good body shot. Nice straight punches there by Nemera. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nemera. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nemera lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Nemera fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it. Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nemera sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie is looking for a kimura but Nemera is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nemera looking for subs from the bottom but Gracie mounts him! Nemera is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie has control of Nemera's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nemera regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nemera is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount. Gracie looking to control but Nemera is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Gracie working for a guillotine from mount but Nemera is in no mood to give up. Nemera is looking to get to half guard. Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Nemera is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nemera looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nemera postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gracie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nemera, into his guard.

Bryan Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gracie wants to control from the top but Nemera keeps moving. Nemera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Nemera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nemera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Nemera's legs - danger averted. Nemera lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Gracie is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Nemera frees his head nicely. Oh but Gracie has switched to an armbar! Nemera is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Bryan Gracie! In his post fight interview, Bryan Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
