Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Pace (ranked 2991 p4p, 4831 weight class) and Cole ODriscoll (ranked 363 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kobe Pace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cole ODriscoll! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.

ODriscoll tries to pull guard but Pace forces him back to his feet, against the cage. ODriscoll is looking to take this one to the mat. ODriscoll tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kobe Pace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole ODriscoll. Pace jumps guard and drags ODriscoll to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Pace lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. ODriscoll is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. ODriscoll keeping moving, preventing Pace from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pace is really struggling to control ODriscoll but he's trying to hold on to the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if ODriscoll can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pace trying to control the position from guard on top but ODriscoll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. ODriscoll is trying to control the position but Pace postures up. ODriscoll is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. ODriscoll is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. ODriscoll tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pace counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Pace lands with a hook. ODriscoll tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Pace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pace digs a good hook to ODriscoll's body.
ODriscoll moves into the clinch. ODriscoll is trying to pull guard but Pace has him pressed against the cage. Pace has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but ODriscoll regains guard immediately. ODriscoll is controlling Pace's posture. ODriscoll is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pace is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. ODriscoll looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pace has picked ODriscoll up and slammed him! ODriscoll can't keep hold of the triangle and Pace manages to pass to side control! ODriscoll is trying to control Pace's posture but Pace avoids it. ODriscoll tries to get back to half guard but can't. ODriscoll can't do much from the bottom here. Pace stands up and beckons ODriscoll to his feet. Pace is breathing heavily. ODriscoll rushes Pace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. ODriscoll is working for takedown but Pace is calmly controlling the position for now. ODriscoll wants to take the fight to the mat but Pace manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. ODriscoll jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pace walks away with a smile on his face. ODriscoll gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pace lands the left hand. ODriscoll wants to clinch. Pace drops down looking for a counter takedown but ODriscoll sprawls and moves away. ODriscoll tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pace changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pace moves into the clinch successfully.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pace manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kobe Pace dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Pace circles away from the clinch attempt and Pace counters with a takedown into side control. ODriscoll is looking for a sweep. ODriscoll is trying to control Pace's posture but Pace avoids it. ODriscoll is looking for a sweep. Pace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pace working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. ODriscoll is looking to control Pace's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can ODriscoll avoid being mounted? Kobe Pace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. ODriscoll actively working from the bottom here. Pace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. ODriscoll looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pace is thwarting ODriscoll's attempts to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pace has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed ODriscoll clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Pace not allowing ODriscoll to control his hands. You can see the frustration on ODriscoll's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kobe Pace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. ODriscoll throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Kobe Pace showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
