Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akhmed Kurbanov (ranked 4958 p4p, 3045 weight class) and Akhmed Kurbanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Akhmed Kurbanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Akhmed Kurbanov! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter A goes for a double leg but Fighter B avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fighter B continues to drive forward. Fighter A fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fighter B to the ground. Fighter A is now in Fighter B's guard. Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B is working from the bottom. Fighter A is fighting to break Fighter B's control of his arms but Fighter B is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Fighter A got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fighter B has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fighter A has managed to get both his arms back between Fighter B's legs - danger averted. Fighter A works over Fighter B with some ground and pound from guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fighter A stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fighter B swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fighter B looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A wants to get up but he can't break Fighter B's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Fighter B trying to keep a closed guard but Fighter A is proving a slippery customer.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fighter A showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter B decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Fighter B wants to work for an arm triangle but Fighter A is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fighter A is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fighter B pulls his head out easily. Fighter B works his foot free and advances to mount. Fighter B controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B is having none of it. Fighter B controlling the position easily from mount. Fighter B working for a submission but Fighter A is keeping him at bay. Fighter A tries to hold on but Fighter B pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fighter B looking to control and managing it successfully. Fighter A bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B wants to stand and escape but Fighter A is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Akhmed Kurbanov will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side. Fighter A lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fighter A gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fighter B to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fighter B passes into half guard. Fighter B is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fighter A defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A is looking for a sweep. Fighter B is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fighter B is thwarting Fighter A's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fighter B decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B looking to score a takedown here. Fighter A is defending well but Fighter B drives through and ends up in Fighter A's guard. Fighter A is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A wants to sweep here but Fighter B controlling him for the moment. Fighter B lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fighter B trying to control but Fighter A is working from the bottom. Fighter B postures up.
Fighter B has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fighter B trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter A is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter A tries for a takedown but Fighter B sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fighter B engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fighter B drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fighter A manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fighter B has Fighter A in his guard. Fighter B is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter B keeping moving, preventing Fighter A from controlling successfully. Fighter A is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fighter B is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Fighter B is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fighter A looking to sit in guard and control but Fighter B gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akhmed Kurbanov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Fighter A moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Fighter A. No joy for Fighter B on that attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fighter B keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fighter A's efforts to push away. Fighter A jumps guard but Fighter B turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A breaks the clinch.
Fighter B connects with a solid leg kick. Fighter B shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter A is trying to defend but Fighter B finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fighter A kicks Fighter B off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A avoids the head kick by Fighter B.
Fighter A decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fighter A is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fighter B sees it coming and defends easily. Fighter B is looking to improve his position.
Fighter B holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Fighter B tries to roll over but Fighter A keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A wants to stand up but Fighter B is controlling the position.
Fighter A is trying to control. Fighter B wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Akhmed Kurbanov has got the better of the ground game so far. Fighter B trying to control here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter B looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fighter A! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fighter A tries to bench press Fighter B off him but Fighter B keeps the position. Fighter A can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A trying to remain calm as Fighter B controls from the top position. Fighter A is looking to reverse the position. Fighter B trying to control the action but Fighter A is working from the bottom. Fighter B stands up. Fighter B gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter B ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fighter B no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fighter B working for submissions but it's allowed Fighter A to get to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akhmed Kurbanov. I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
