Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

Killer shoots in for a double leg but Lewis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Killer dives in and grabs Lewis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes down on Killer's head and hops out.

and Lewis counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Killer closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Killer pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Chief Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Killer tries for a takedown but Lewis manages to get underhooks.
Killer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lewis.

Still in the clinch, Lewis scores with a nice short uppercut.
Lewis is pushing Killer up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Killer is pressed up against the cage. Lewis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Killer down to the mat. Killer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lewis has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Killer goes for a double leg but Lewis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lewis continues to drive forward.

Killer is looking to regain half guard here but Lewis keeps moving and retains side control.

Lewis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killer keeps working.

Lewis misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Killer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lewis moves into full mount!

Killer tries to improve his position but Lewis has taken his back! Lewis has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Killer tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lewis pushes Killer away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
