Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Stackhouse (ranked 4811 p4p, 4791 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 493 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derek Stackhouse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Johnson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss. Johnson throws a left that rocks Stackhouse and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Johnson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Stackhouse regain composure!
Johnson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Johnson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stackhouse pushes Johnson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Johnson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Johnson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Johnson working the ground and pound but Stackhouse is defending the strikes. Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Stackhouse get back to his feet. Stackhouse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Stackhouse misses with a straight left. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stackhouse circles away quickly and effectively. Stackhouse jabbing away but nothing is landing. Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss. Jack Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stackhouse tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Johnson manages to circle out of the way. Stackhouse throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson. The fight stays on the outside here - Stackhouse looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A swing and a miss from Johnson. Stackhouse is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Johnson. Stackhouse tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Johnson throws a series of strikes that have Stackhouse backpedaling.
Johnson misses with a double jab.
Stackhouse fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Stackhouse can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Johnson and Stackhouse drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Johnson.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Johnson! In his post fight interview, Jack Johnson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
