Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tex Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Nuritdinov! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnem�ki.

Nuritdinov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nuritdinov lands some shots froms side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson misses with an elbow from the bottom. Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nuritdinov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Nuritdinov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nuritdinov scores with a couple of short elbows. Nuritdinov scoring with punches from side control. Nuritdinov lands some shots froms side control. You can see the frustration on Jackson's face as Nuritdinov controls the position. Jackson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Nuritdinov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nuritdinov controlling the position easily from mount. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. Let's hope that Nuritdinov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Nuritdinov prevents Jackson from getting the reversal. Nuritdinov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jackson?

Nuritdinov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Nuritdinov extends the arm and Jackson is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Omar Nuritdinov! Omar Nuritdinov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
