Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Grigoriev (ranked 6455 p4p, 7233 weight class) and Speed Killz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grigoriev has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Speed Killz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Aleksey Grigoriev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Speed Killz!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.

Grigoriev has managed to clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Killz has Grigoriev pressed against the cage.
Grigoriev could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Killz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Killz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Grigoriev blocks a low kick nicely.
Grigoriev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Killz instigates a clinch.
Killz pushes Grigoriev back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grigoriev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aleksey Grigoriev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grigoriev rushes Killz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Grigoriev tries to pull guard but Killz won't allow it.
Killz jumps guard but Grigoriev stands there with Killz around his waist. Killz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Grigoriev wants to break free but Killz has control.

Killz jumps into guard, dragging Grigoriev to the mat.
Killz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grigoriev is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grigoriev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Grigoriev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grigoriev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Killz is looking to reverse the position.

Grigoriev has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Killz!
Killz is trying desperately to improve position.
Killz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Killz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Killz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Killz throws a big elbow that misses.

Grigoriev keeping moving, preventing Killz from controlling successfully.
Killz stays in close to Grigoriev's body and controls the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Killz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Speed Killz dominated that round.

Killz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Killz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Killz is trying to drag Grigoriev to the mat but Grigoriev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Killz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Grigoriev pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Grigoriev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Killz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Killz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Killz shoots in looking for a takedown. Grigoriev tries to sprawl out of it but Killz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grigoriev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Grigoriev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Killz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Killz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Killz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grigoriev's waist but Grigoriev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Killz off to one side.
Grigoriev moves in looking to clinch but Killz pushes him off.
Killz steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Killz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grigoriev sprawls well. Grigoriev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Killz gets slowly back to his feet.
Grigoriev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Killz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Killz is breathing heavily.

Grigoriev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Killz, pushing him back against the cage.

Killz blocking some punches.
Killz is trying to stall.

Killz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Killz.
Grigoriev tries to clinch but Killz is having none of it.

Grigoriev clinches up against the cage.
Grigoriev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Killz walks away with a smile on his face. Grigoriev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Grigoriev is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Killz is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Grigoriev is keeping busy.

Grigoriev looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Killz puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Killz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Killz is taking a breather. Grigoriev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aleksey Grigoriev will probably get the nod.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Killz drags the fight down to the ground.
Grigoriev wants to control from the top but Killz keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Killz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grigoriev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grigoriev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Grigoriev wants to control from the top but Killz keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grigoriev closes the distance but Killz moves to the side
and Killz counters with a left to the body.
Grigoriev wants to clinch but Killz slips to the side
and Killz counters with a left and a right that stings Grigoriev.
Killz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grigoriev sprawls well. Grigoriev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Killz gets slowly back to his feet.
Grigoriev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Killz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Grigoriev avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Speed Killz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Killz lands a nice shot to the body.
Grigoriev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Killz.

Grigoriev has Killz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Killz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Killz has control of Grigoriev's left arm, preventing Grigoriev from doing any damage.

Grigoriev passes Killz's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Grigoriev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killz keeps working.
Grigoriev is stalling here. Killz is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Grigoriev seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Killz has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Speed Killz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Killz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
