Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kazuo Imanari (ranked 3305 p4p, 2752 weight class) and Marco Simic (ranked 161 p4p, 141 weight class). Imanari comes to the ring accompanied by Yoshida Brothers: Rising. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazuo Imanari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marco Simic! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and William Gold.

Simic slaps away a takedown attempt from Imanari, before circling back to the center of the mat. A nice side step and Simic releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Imanari rushes Simic and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Simic lands with a short head shot on the inside. Simic on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Imanari decides to pull guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Simic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Imanari working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Imanari is tightening it up a little... Simic has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Simic reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Simic taps out! Nice BJJ there by Imanari!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Kazuo Imanari! In his post fight interview, Kazuo Imanari started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
