Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sasha Lakovic!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zslevski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lakovic paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lakovic wants to control from the top but Zslevski keeps moving.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Asmir Zslevski has been cut.
Zslevski keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Zslevski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lakovic sprawls well initially but Zslevski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lakovic tries to kick Zslevski off in order to stand up. Zslevski Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Lakovic is looking to regain half guard here but Zslevski keeps moving and retains side control.

Zslevski is trying to get an arm triangle but Lakovic is defending well.

Lakovic throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Zslevski was waiting for it though - now Lakovic's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Lakovic is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Zslevski!
