The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Checkert darts in and clinches Dent up against the ropes. Checkert wants the takedown. Dent is fighting it off but Checkert persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dent's guard against the ropes. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Dent (0) vs (2) Checkert Dent is looking for a triangle but Checkert pushes his legs off easily.
