This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Sebastian Bach! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Sammy Volkenhause! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Bach gets a takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bach (2) vs (0) Volkenhause Bach controlling the pace. Volkenhause looking for submissions off his back. Volkenhause is not content to let Bach control the position. Bach is controlling the pace.
Bach is keen to just control but Volkenhause is a slippery customer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bach trying to pass the guard but Volkenhause defending well. Bach not doing much here.
Volkenhause moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkenhause is trying to control the position but Bach postures up. Volkenhause looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bach sitting in guard here, content to control. Volkenhause working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Volkenhause is on top in guard.

Volkenhause wants to control from the top but Bach keeps moving. Bach wants to sweep but no luck. Bach is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Volkenhause defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bach escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Volkenhause gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Volkenhause avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Volkenhause is pushing down on Bach's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bach is fighting to maintain full guard but Volkenhause has managed to sneak the leg through. Volkenhause is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bach trying to get back to full guard but Volkenhause takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Bach (2) vs (5) Volkenhause Bach tries to hold on but Volkenhause pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volkenhause tries to control but Bach wriggling away. Bach regains half guard. Volkenhause with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Volkenhause is thwarting Bach's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Volkenhause passes to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Bach (2) vs (8) Volkenhause Bach regains half guard. Bach is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Volkenhause has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Score +3 for passing guard: Bach (2) vs (11) Volkenhause Volkenhause controlling from the full mount. Volkenhause looking to control but Bach is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Bach tries to reverse the position but Volkenhause maintains control. Volkenhause takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Volkenhause can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bach is looking to escape. Volkenhause controlling from mount. Bach tries to control Volkenhause's body but Volkenhause pushes him off. Bach squirms to his side and now Volkenhause has his back! Score +3 for taking back: Bach (2) vs (14) Volkenhause Volkenhause has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's six minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Volkenhause is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Bach with him. Bach is trying to defend but Volkenhause has an arm under the chin now! Bach grimaces and is forced to tap out!
