Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gareth May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Zombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). May comes to the cage accompanied by I- Black Sabbath. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gareth May! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Zombie! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zombie ducks under a wild hook from May. Zombie rushes May and presses him up against the cage. May avoiding damage as Zombie throws knees to the body.
May is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zombie is just too persistent for him and manages to trip May to the mat. May regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Zombie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. May bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zombie's guard. May has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. May won't allow Zombie to sweep him here. Zombie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but May can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Zombie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Zombie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. May pushes down on Zombie's leg and manages to get into half guard. Zombie is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zombie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. May is working away from the top position though. May is trying to control the action in half guard but Zombie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Zombie tries to get to full guard but May has control of the leg.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. May throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zombie's waist but Zombie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing May off to one side. May stalks Zombie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zombie's face. Zombie staggers backwards, shaken. May darts in trying to clinch and Zombie counters by moving into the clinch. Zombie tries to pull guard but May holds him up against the cage and eventually Zombie drops back down to his feet.
May lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Zombie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Zombie looks gassed! Zombie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Zombie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. May trying to control but Zombie is working from the bottom. May avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
May pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zombie is keeping the position for now. Zombie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
May trying to control the position from guard on top but Zombie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May trying to stand up but can't free himself from Zombie's guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. May darts in trying to clinch and Zombie counters with a left to the body. May tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zombie swats him away and circles back towards the center. May looks to throw the jab but Zombie is out of range. May closes the distance but Zombie moves to the side and Zombie counters with a flying knee. Nice. May stuffs the takedown attempt from Zombie. Zombie gets slowly back to his feet. Gareth May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Zombie. Zombie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but May paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zombie slips a jab and a cross from May.
May lands with a kick to the ribs.
May misses with a jab, cross combination.
May lands a jab to the head.
May throws a combination that misses and Zombie counters with a nice double leg into side control. May won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zombie postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
May can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zombie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, May has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Zombie but great work by May. Zombie is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Zombie dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
May fails in his attempt to clinch. May throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zombie. May tries to clinch up. May tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. May tries to clinch up and Zombie counters with a nice body kick. May has his takedown stuffed and Zombie counters by clinching up. Zombie drops to a knee looking for a takedown but May gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Zombie takes an elbow to the temple. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zombie connects with a knee to the head.
Zombie tries to land a knee to the head but May blocks with his arms.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zombie wants a takedown.
Zombie on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Zombie lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
May is not content to let Zombie control the position. May pushes Zombie off looking to stand but Zombie dives back in and keeps control.
Zombie wants to pass the guard but May is defending well. Zombie wants to control but May is keeping him busy. Zombie trying to mount his opponent but May defends it. Zombie tries to stand but can't do so whilst May controls his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. May is trying to control but can't.
Zombie wants to take a breather but May is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. May looks to land a combination. Zombie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A head kick misses from Zombie. May catches Zombie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Zombie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
May swats away the attempt to clinch by Zombie. Zombie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts May as he jumps to the side. Gareth May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Zombie. May is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May shoots in but no luck this time. Zombie walks into a stiff left hand from May. Zombie darts in trying to clinch and May counters with a lovely straight right hand! A punch combination from May misses. Gareth May is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A chopping leg kick lands by May. May tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zombie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Zombie throws a sloppy head kick and May moves out of range easily. May tries to clinch up. Zombie gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. May is looking to break free of the clinch but Zombie has double underhooks. Zombie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. May is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. May drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zombie gets the underhooks and prevents it.
May works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. May preventing the sweep. Zombie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Zombie wants to improve his position but instead May has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zombie wants to get back to full guard but May has passed into side control. Zombie tries to reverse the position but May maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but John Zombie will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
May closes the distance looking to clinch and Zombie counters with a single leg into guard. May didn't expect that. Zombie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Zombie tries to clinch but fails miserably and Zombie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zombie has his takedown stuffed letting May counter with a right hand. May clinches but Zombie breaks the clinch and Zombie counters with a nice double leg into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zombie prevents May from getting back to his feet. Zombie with a flurry of punches that miss. Zombie drops back, looking for a kneebar! May looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. May looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from May!
That's one minute gone in the round. May working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Zombie is looking to reverse the position. Zombie gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Zombie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Zombie is squirming around, avoiding May's attempts to control the action. Zombie is trying to escape the mount.
Zombie tries to hold on but May pushes him away. Zombie can't escape the position.
May can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zombie is looking to escape. Zombie is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zombie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Zombie is desperately trying to improve his position but May has a good base and remains in mount. Zombie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gareth May has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zombie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Zombie tries to get back to half guard but can't. John Zombie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Zombie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Zombie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
May throws some wild stikes that Zombie manages to avoid easily.
May trying to control but he's not successful this time. Zombie is wriggling around trying to escape.
May landing punches. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. May swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zombie is now in May's guard. A big mistake from May there, giving up the dominant position! Zombie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that's the end of the fight! John Zombie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Zombie winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
