Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beam (ranked 4977 p4p, 4601 weight class) and Iner Raledran (ranked 603 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Beam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iner Raledran! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beam shoots in and bounces Raledran off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Beam wants to control from the top but Raledran keeps moving. Beam sitting in guard here, content to control. Raledran can't keep his opponent in guard - Beam advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Raledran looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Raledran is looking for a sweep. Beam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The strikes coming from Beam are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Beam lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Raledran down.

Wait, no, Raledran rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Beam's guard! Nice work there by Raledran! Raledran drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Beam manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Raledran has Beam in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beam wants to control from the top but Raledran keeps moving. Raledran is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beam defends well.

Beam works his way back into a safe position though. Beam postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Raledran is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Raledran controls Beam momentarily but Beam frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raledran is pulling down on Beam's head to control his posture. A close second round but Iner Raledran will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Beam misses with a left hand letting Raledran counter with a right hand. Beam has closed the distance and engaged Raledran in a clinch.

Beam takes a shot to the head. Raledran lands a hook that snaps the head of Beam backwards. Raledran tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Beam is trying to pull guard but Raledran turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Raledran misses with the head strike.

Beam is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A head punch on the inside from Raledran fails to land. Raledran lands a body punch. Beam is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Raledran had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Beam defends it easily. Raledran wants to get back to his feet but Beam is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Raledran lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Let's hope that Raledran has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
