A punch lands to the side of Barnes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A head kick from Barnes lands but Aliyev takes it in his stride.

It looks like Khizri Aliyev has been cut.
Aliyev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

We've been hearing reports that Aliyev has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Barnes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Barnes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Barnes closes the distance and clinches up with Aliyev, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes Aliyev against the cage but Aliyev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barnes throws a good cross that connects.
Barnes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Barnes drops his hands momentarily and Aliyev takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Aliyev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Aliyev throws a lazy right hand but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Barnes counters with a good low kick that Aliyev was not able to check.
Aliyev throws an ugly left hook that misses

Barnes cracks a nice hook into Aliyev's ribs.
Nice straight punches there by Barnes. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Barnes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aliyev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Barnes.
Barnes gets in close and tags Aliyev with a short punch that almost sends Aliyev to the mat! Oh Aliyev is in big trouble! He turns his back on Barnes, trying to create some distance but Barnes rushes him, striking wildly and Aliyev goes down! The referee tackles Barnes into the cage to end the fight! Barnes is one violent man!
