Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Birk Smygare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamb comes to the cage accompanied by Saltwater. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Birk Smygare!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smygare tries to clinch up.
Smygare with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smygare steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lamb. That one must have hurt.
Lamb misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lamb moves out of range of the body kick.
Smygare fails to land the takedown.
Smygare throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lamb looks to score with a jab to the body but Smygare is just out of range.
Lamb throws a head kick that half lands.
Smygare takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lamb misses with a head kick.
Smygare lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Toby Lamb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smygare tries to bum rush Lamb with a series of wild strikes but Lamb uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lamb. Smygare shrugs it off though.
Smygare throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lamb's waist but Lamb gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smygare off to one side.
Smygare will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A clash of legs there as Lamb blocks the low kick.
Lamb lands a with a good body shot.

Lamb cracks a nice hook into Smygare's ribs.

Lamb closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lamb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smygare moves in looking to clinch but Lamb pushes him off.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Smygare crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lamb - the referee stops the clock and Smygare gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lamb. Smygare manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smygare manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lamb's best efforts.
Lamb thows a huge punch but Smygare dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smygare is looking for a sweep. Lamb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

You can see the frustration on Lamb's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
