Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddel has managed to clinch.
Liddel throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nukems head.

Nukem wants the takedown. Liddel is fighting it off but Nukem persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Liddel's guard against the cage.
Nukem is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Liddel has momentary wrist control but Nukem slips an elbow through the middle.

Liddel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Liddel working a defensive guard but Nukem manages to pass into side control anyway.
Liddel is not content to let Nukem control the position.
Liddel is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Liddel is really stuck here.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Nukem trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nukem controlling the position well here. Liddel rolled but Nukem kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Nukem is hanging on to Liddel's back as he tries to escape.
Nukem is not going to allow Liddel to sit and survive in this position.
Liddel is breathing heavily.
Nukem slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Despite being in the dominant position, Duke Nukem just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A head kick misses from Liddel.
Liddel tries for a takedown but Nukem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nukem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddel pinned against the cage. Liddel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Liddel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Nukem counters with a single leg into guard. Liddel didn't expect that.

Liddel wants to sweep here but Nukem controlling him for the moment.
Liddel is trying to control the position but Nukem postures up.

Nukem stands up from Liddel's guard - Nukem perhaps looking for a knockout.

Liddel has taken the fight to the clinch.

Nukem drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liddel pulls his leg out and moves away.

Liddel moves into the clinch.
Nukem tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liddel just stands there and leans against the cage.
Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Nukem.

Liddel gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Liddel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nukem does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duke Nukem dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nukem.
Nice body punch from Liddel.
Liddel throws a sloppy head kick and Nukem moves out of range easily.
Liddel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nukem pinned against the cage. Nukem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Liddel wants to control but Nukem postures up.

Nukem landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Nukem misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Liddel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nukem on the ground.
Nukem is breathing heavily.
Liddel is looking to regain half guard here but Nukem keeps moving and retains side control.

Liddel is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nukem is controlling him well.
Nukem in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nukem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Nukem is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nukem is taking a breather. Liddel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nukem lands with a punch from half guard.
Nukem drops an elbow to the side of Liddel's head.

Liddel is rocked!
Nukem slips a nice elbow through Liddel's hands, connecting with Liddel's forehead.
Oh Liddel is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nukem scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Nukem is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Liddel is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Duke Nukem!
