Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keke Fight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerry Roger! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roger is looking to clinch. Roger closes the distance and clinches up with Fight, looking for a takedown. Roger pushes Fight against the cage but Fight circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Roger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fight sprawls well initially but Roger persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Roger prevents Fight from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fight works his way to full guard. Good work. Fight had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Roger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fight Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Roger's back instead. Roger is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Roger rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Roger wants to control but Fight is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roger is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fight scores with a couple of nice shots. Roger moves into full guard.
Fight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fight trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fight has gone for a leg lock! Roger slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fight's guard. Roger is stalling in the full guard. Roger preventing the sweep. Roger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fight swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roger wants to control from the top but Fight keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roger gets to his feet - Fight follows without any prompting. Roger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fight. Fight is breathing heavily. Fight working away. Fight is looking for a kimura. He might have it! That's three minutes gone in the round. Roger sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Roger moves into full guard.
Roger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fight with a flurry of punches that miss. Roger throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Fight looking to pass the guard. Fight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roger is adopting a defensive guard. Fight postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Roger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fight sprawls well initially but Roger persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Roger is looking for a kimura here.

A close round but Jerry Roger will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fight looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Roger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fight has a hand on Roger's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Roger takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Fight is looking to improve his position but Roger isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roger takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Fight is really stuck here.
Fight is working hard here to advance position. Roger is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Fight with him. Fight is trying to defend but Roger has an arm under the chin now! Fight grimaces and is forced to tap out!
