Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Vasconcelos (ranked 5859 p4p, 3934 weight class) and Andre Krimm (ranked 472 p4p, 391 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Vitor Vasconcelos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vitor Vasconcelos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitor Vasconcelos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre Krimm! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

Vasconcelos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Vasconcelos jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Krimm fails to land the takedown. Vasconcelos went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Vasconcelos scores with a hook to the body. Krimm takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Vasconcelos lands with a shot to the body. Vasconcelos throws a series of strikes that have Krimm backpedaling.

Vasconcelos lands a jab-cross combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck for Krimm with that takedown attempt. Vasconcelos manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Krimm on his heels. He'll look to pass Krimm's guard now, I'm sure. Krimm wants to get back to his feet but Vasconcelos passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vasconcelos is nestled in close to Krimm, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are battling for position here. Krimm manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasconcelos chips away with some ground and pound. Krimm not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasconcelos trying to control the action but Krimm is working from the bottom. Vasconcelos creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Krimm striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Krimm misses with an elbow from the bottom. Vasconcelos looking to control but instead Krimm has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Vasconcelos prevents Krimm from improving his position. Vasconcelos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Krimm is staying active underneath Vasconcelos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vasconcelos trying to control the pace. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Krimm fails with the takedown. It looked like Vasconcelos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vasconcelos swats away the attempt to clinch by Krimm. Krimm avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vasconcelos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krimm is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Vasconcelos. Krimm has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Vasconcelos finds it's way round the side to connect with Krimm's head. Krimm fails to land with a series of punches.
Vasconcelos seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Vasconcelos tries to clinch but fails miserably and Krimm counters with a single leg into guard. Vasconcelos didn't expect that.

Vasconcelos trying to control but he's not successful this time. Vasconcelos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krimm on the ground. Vasconcelos avoids the attempt from Krimm to control. Krimm regains half guard. Vasconcelos is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Vasconcelos drops an elbow to the side of Krimm's head. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vasconcelos in particular looking to stall.

Vasconcelos wants to free his trapped foot but Krimm is holding on for dear life with his legs. Krimm is looking to control Vasconcelos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Krimm avoid being mounted? Vasconcelos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Krimm with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ground and pound from Vasconcelos. Krimm is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vasconcelos pulls his head out easily. Vasconcelos blocks the strikes from Krimm.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vasconcelos connects with a nice short shot to Krimm's temple. Krimm wants to improve his position but Vasconcelos is controlling well.

Still in half guard, Vasconcelos seems content to control. Krimm holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Vasconcelos passes to full mount! Krimm is looking to improve his position but Vasconcelos isn't that keen on the idea. Vasconcelos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Krimm is looking to escape.

Krimm is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Krimm is bucking up trying to escape but Vasconcelos cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Krimm really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Vasconcelos wants to control the pace but Krimm is squirming around nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Krimm is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasconcelos has control of an arm but Krimm manages to advance to Vasconcelos's back! Vasconcelos wants to escape the position.
What can Vasconcelos do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Krimm is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vasconcelos is aware though and is defending well. Vasconcelos distracts Krimm with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vasconcelos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Vasconcelos trying to control the position from guard on top but Krimm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vasconcelos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Krimm can do to turn this around? Krimm is looking for a triangle here but Vasconcelos uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
