Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Mamaev (ranked 2698 p4p, 22091 weight class) and Jay Leno (ranked 352 p4p, 660 weight class). Mamaev comes into the arena with 30 Seconds To Mars - Hurricane blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Denis Mamaev has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Leno throws an overhand right that lands on Mamaev's shoulder, as Mamaev tries to avoid the shot.
Mamaev swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Leno misses with a left hand
enabling Mamaev to counter with a crisp jab.
Mamaev works Leno's body with a nice hook.
Leno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mamaev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Leno.
Mamaev fires out a quick counter leg kick but Leno just manages to avoid it.

Leno misses with a looping left.
Mamaev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Leno has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Leno doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Mamaev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Leno throws a looping overhand right but Mamaev ducks down to avoid it.
Jay Leno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Mamaev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leno looks to land a combination but Mamaev avoids it well.
Mamaev keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Leno just misses with a punch to the body.

Leno is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Leno throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mamaev counters with a stiff right hand.
Mamaev circles away from the clinch attempt.

Leno throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mamaev counters with a nice low kick that buckles Leno's knee momentarily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Leno has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Leno tries to move into range but Mamaev moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Leno is rocked!
Leno leaves his chin hanging out and Mamaev seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Leno crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
