Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chief Chumbo (ranked 4387 p4p, 4120 weight class) and Carlos Calderwood (ranked 520 p4p, 498 weight class). Calderwood has chosen Guns of Brixton by The Clash as his entrance music. Carlos Calderwood will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Chumbo misses the jab.
Calderwood with the counter takedown but Chumbo avoids it easily.
Calderwood lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Calderwood has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chumbo is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Calderwood walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chumbo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Calderwood connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chumbo momentarily.

Chief Chumbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Calderwood.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chumbo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Calderwood throws a lazy right hand but Chumbo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Chumbo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Calderwood has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Chumbo is looking to defend but Calderwood has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Chumbo! Calderwood pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Chumbo taps out and this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Carlos Calderwood thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
