Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sainty (ranked 4595 p4p, 1428 weight class) and Derek Vinyard (ranked 431 p4p, 167 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Vinyard rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sainty counters with a shoot takedown. Vinyard fights it but they end up in guard.
Vinyard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vinyard is continuing to stall.
Sainty trying to control but Vinyard is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinyard pulls Sainty in close to his closed guard and prevents Sainty from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sainty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinyard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vinyard is looking to regain half guard here but Sainty keeps moving and retains side control.

Sainty tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sainty has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sainty will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sainty is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vinyard's shoulder. That is not cool.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vinyard avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Vinyard clobbers Sainty with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sainty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vinyard's guard.
Sainty wants to pass the guard but Vinyard is keeping the position.

Sainty looking to take Vinyard's back but Vinyard rolls and after a scramble, Vinyard ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Vinyard to escape a tricky position.
