Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Steele (ranked 372 p4p, 658 weight class) and Carlos Ruas (ranked 9 p4p, 27 weight class). Jason Steele has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, Jason Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Ruas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruas throws out a loose jab but Steele uses good head movement to avoid it.
Steele throws a series of punches but Ruas moves out of range.

Steele's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Steele lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Steele pushes off an throws an elbow but Ruas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

It looks like Carlos Ruas has been cut.

I was talking to Steele's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Steele has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ruas finds it's way round the side to connect with Steele's head.

Nice straight punches there by Ruas. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ruas.
Ruas cracks Steele with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Steele fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ruas, pushing him back against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Steele will probably get the nod.

Steele throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Carlos Ruas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
