Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikos Giannopoulos (ranked 1669 p4p, 1031 weight class) and Marvin Vettori (ranked 252 p4p, 160 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vettori's choice of entrance music: Police On My Back- The Rocketz. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Giannopoulos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vettori's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vettori enables Giannopoulos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vettori manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Vettori in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Horrible takedown attempt by Giannopoulos or perhaps it was just good defense by Vettori, which made it look bad.

Giannopoulos is looking to control Vettori's arms but Vettori gets an underhook and turns him. Now Giannopoulos has his back to the cage.
Giannopoulos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Giannopoulos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vettori clobbers Giannopoulos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Giannopoulos thows a body kick. Vettori tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vettori crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Giannopoulos - the referee stops the clock and Vettori gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Giannopoulos. Vettori manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Marvin Vettori comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Vettori winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
