Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Line (ranked 3344 p4p, 1043 weight class) and Ryu Aokison (ranked 430 p4p, 162 weight class). Line's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Heavy Metal we will die!. Aokison has chosen Caroline as his entrance music. Ryu Aokison will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gustav Line! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryu Aokison! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Line thows a leg kick but Aokison checks it so Aokison counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Aokison won't allow Line to sweep him here. Line working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Aokison has passed into half guard!

Line looking for submissions off his back. Aokison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Line keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Line has hold of Aokison's hands but Aokison slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aokison slips a nice elbow through Line's hands, connecting with Line's forehead. Aokison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Line keeps working. Line manages to get to full guard.
Aokison with a flurry of punches that miss. Aokison looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Line looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aokison is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Line looking to control.
Line has momentary wrist control but Aokison slips an elbow through the middle. Aokison sitting in guard, not really doing much. Aokison working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Aokison cracks Line with a solid left hand. Aokison has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Aokison content to stall in guard here. Aokison lands a couple of elbows. Line is looking to sweep but instead, Aokison has passed into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aokison working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Line's head. Line working for a triangle but Aokison defends it easily.
Line keeping moving, preventing Aokison from controlling successfully. Line bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aokison's guard. Line controlling from the top position. Aokison tries to land a sweep but no joy. Line might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aokison is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Line avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've been informed that Aokison has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Line trying to control but Aokison is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Line works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryu Aokison dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Line misses with a leg kick and Aokison counters with a takedown into side control. Line is looking to get back to his feet here but Aokison is keeping cool and he's managed to take Line's back. Oooh a big shot gets through from Aokison. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Aokison is landing with strikes from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aokison has Line flattened out and is raining down punches. I really don't envy Line right now.
Will Aokison go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Line is working hard here to advance position. Line is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Heavy Metal, so we'll see if he gets out of it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Line rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Line is looking for a sweep. Aokison is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Aokison is thwarting Line's attempts to control the position. Aokison takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Aokison seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Line does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Aokison might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Line haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Line moves into full guard.

Line has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aokison is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Line. Line is looking to regain half guard here but Aokison keeps moving and retains side control.

Aokison tries for a kimura but Line is defending well. Aokison is putting a hurting on Line here, landing some big shots from side control. Line is not content to let Aokison control the position. Line is trying to get back to half guard.

Line was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Aokison lands a big elbow. Aokison landing strikes from the mount. Aokison tries to control but Line wriggling away. Line is looking to improve his position but Aokison isn't that keen on the idea. Line taking shots to the head.

Line is bucking up trying to escape but Aokison cracks him with another couple of good strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Aokison with good strikes from the mount here! Line taking shots to the head. Line is desperately trying to improve his position but Aokison has a good base and remains in mount. Line is in a horrible position here. Aokison smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Aokison controlling from mount. Aokison lands a couple of good shots and Line has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Aokison is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Ryu Aokison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Line misses with a two punch combination.
Line misses the shot to the body. Line throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A slapping leg kick lands for Aokison.

Line appears to be looking for a big counter. Line takes a shot right to the bread basket. Line takes a body punch but keeps moving. Line throws a jab when Aokison was well out of range. Aokison changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Gustav Line seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aokison thuds his right hand into Line's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Line defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aokison. Line scores with a jab. Aokison acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Nice body punch from Line. Aokison dives in and grabs Line's left leg, looking for a takedown. Line pushes down on Aokison's head and hops out. Line throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aokison.
That's one minute gone in the round. Line pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A low kick from Line misses and Aokison counters with a takedown into side control. Aokison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Line keeps working. Aokison in the domination position with Line hanging on. Line tries to improve position but can't. Aokison has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Aokison lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Line is trying to get back to half guard. Aokison is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Line has escaped the position, nice work there. Line is trying to escape the position but Aokison is controlling the position. Gustav Line has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Line works his way to full guard. Good work. Line working for a triangle but Aokison defends it easily.
Aokison won't allow Line to sweep him here. Aokison controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Aokison is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Ryu Aokison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Aokison trying to control the position from guard on top but Line is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aokison got a little sloppy there for a moment and Line has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aokison has managed to get both his arms back between Line's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryu Aokison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Aokison winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
