Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cain Velasquez!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Jerome gets caught napping as Velasquez dives in and scores a takedown. Jerome manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Velasquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jerome. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Velasquez parries the strikes from Jerome easily there. Jerome is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Velasquez to escape.
Jerome gets to mount! Velasquez was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Velasquez tries to hold on but Jerome pushes him away.

Jerome working for a submission but Velasquez is keeping him at bay.

Velasquez tries to improve his position but Jerome has taken his back! Jerome has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Velasquez tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Jerome pushes Velasquez away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
