Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrell Davis (ranked 6199 p4p, 5648 weight class) and Alexander Rockhold (ranked 583 p4p, 561 weight class). Terrell Davis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terrell Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Rockhold! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis dives in for a single leg takedown but Rockhold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. We've been told by Davis's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Davis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Rockhold has managed to clinch.

Rockhold should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Rockhold moves into the clinch. Rockhold breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rockhold looking to score a takedown here. Davis is defending well but Rockhold drives through and ends up in Davis's guard. Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rockhold gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Rockhold throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rockhold closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Davis did well to prevent Rockhold getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rockhold postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Davis to stand up. Rockhold lands a left and a right that send Davis crashing to the mat, dazed. Rockhold thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Terrell Davis has been cut. Rockhold darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rockhold sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davis defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Rockhold is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rockhold not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rockhold stands up out of the half guard. Rockhold drives through with a takedown into Davis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rockhold throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rockhold trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rockhold seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rockhold working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davis's head. Rockhold content to stall in guard here. It looks like Rockhold might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rockhold is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control. That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis is working an open guard so Rockhold takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Davis takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rockhold has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davis is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rockhold is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Davis to the mat. Davis regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Rockhold trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rockhold controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rockhold throws a big elbow that misses. Rockhold is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockhold is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rockhold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rockhold pushes Davis up against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Rockhold dominated that round. The cut man is working on Terrell Davis's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rockhold is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davis's half guard. Rockhold not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rockhold slips a nice elbow through Davis's hands, connecting with Davis's forehead.
Davis is rocked! Rockhold is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Rockhold sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockhold landing strikes, looking to finish! Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Rockhold! Davis is hurt baaadly! Rockhold is firing away with more strikes - Davis is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
