Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Old Cucky (ranked 4407 p4p, 3667 weight class) and Juro Fujimoto (ranked 481 p4p, 422 weight class). The key to victory for Old Cucky has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Old Cucky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juro Fujimoto!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.

Cucky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fujimoto is looking to get back to is feet but Cucky passes into side control.
Cucky tries to move to mount but Fujimoto blocks the move with his legs.
Cucky is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Fujimoto's shoulder. That is not cool.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cucky goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fujimoto rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cucky's guard! Nice work there by Fujimoto!
Fujimoto is fighting to break Cucky's control of his arms but Cucky is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fujimoto has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Cucky moves into the clinch.

Cucky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fujimoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Cucky throws a shot from downtown. Fujimoto moves away and avoids it.
Cucky shoots in looking for a takedown. Fujimoto tries to sprawl out of it but Cucky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fujimoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And Fujimoto responds with a good body kick, but Cucky manages to step out the way in time.
Fujimoto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

As Cucky backs off Fujimoto throws a huge counter combo but Cucky manages to avoid it all.

The referee is keeping an eye on Fujimoto - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Old Cucky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cucky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fujimoto circles away quickly and effectively.
Fujimoto pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cucky back to the cage. Fujimoto follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Fujimoto has picked Cucky up - he's going for a ride! Fujimoto dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cucky has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Fujimoto is on him like a limpet, forcing Cucky back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cucky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Fujimoto rushes Cucky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Old Cucky dominated that round.
That's time! Cucky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Cucky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fujimoto manages to avoid it.
Fujimoto is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Cucky bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cucky scores with a shot to the body.

Cucky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fujimoto, pushing him back against the cage.
Cucky tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fujimoto smiles and moves away.

Cucky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fujimoto napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fujimoto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

I was talking to Cucky's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Fujimoto doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Cucky darts in and clinches Fujimoto up against the cage.

Cucky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fujimoto can do to turn this around?

Cucky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cucky cracks Fujimoto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cucky dives in for a single leg takedown but Fujimoto sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Old Cucky. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cucky throws a front kick aimed at Fujimoto's knee but Fujimoto avoids it well.

and Fujimoto counters with a flying knee that drops Cucky! Fujimoto dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
