Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cael Spurrier (ranked 4764 p4p, 4884 weight class) and Ronald Hump (ranked 535 p4p, 555 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cael Spurrier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Hump! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Hump. Spurrier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hump to score with a decent uppercut. Spurrier tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Hump manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A nice side step and Hump releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Hump is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Spurrier looks to clinch and Hump cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hump misses with a wild body shot. Spurrier wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spurrier misses with a low kick.
Spurrier throws a leg kick and Hump counters with a straight right hand. Hump is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Spurrier is predictable there letting Hump counter with a right hand. Spurrier is looking to clinch. A shot to the liver by Hump. Beautiful body shot. Spurrier thows a leg kick but Hump checks it enabling Hump to counter with a crisp jab. Hump lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Spurrier lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Spurrier tries a head kick but it misses.
Spurrier throws a leg kick that is checked and Hump counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Spurrier walks into a left hand. Spurrier tries to work over Hump's front leg with a kick but Hump checks it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hump scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hump lands a nice looking body shot.
Spurrier looks to clinch and Hump counters with a stiff right hand. Hump circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spurrier misses with an uppercut
and Hump counters with a lovely straight right hand! Spurrier tries to clinch but Hump moves away and Hump counters with a nice uppercut. A low kick from Spurrier misses and Hump counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hump fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Spurrier connects with an inside leg kick. Spurrier throws a push kick but Hump slaps the foot to one side. A little jabbing left from Hump on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. The fighters circle momentarily. Hump darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spurrier misses with a leg kick and Hump counters with a lovely straight right hand! Spurrier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Hump scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hump circles away from the clinch attempt and Hump connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Spurrier is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronald Hump dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Spurrier throws a head kick that misses and Hump counters with a nice uppercut. Hump ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hump is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Spurrier with a body shot. Hump throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spurrier tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hump manages to circle out of the way. Spurrier throws a leg kick and Hump counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Spurrier thinking. Spurrier tries to clinch but Hump moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Hump on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice body punch from Hump. Hump uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Spurrier throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hump counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spurrier attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Spurrier wants to clinch and Hump counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Spurrier lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hump throws a body shot but no joy. Spurrier is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hump. A jab lands there for Hump. Hump lands a head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spurrier looks to clinch and Hump counters with a straight punch to the midsection. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Spurrier might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Spurrier misses with a leg kick. Hump has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A nice inside leg kick there by Spurrier. That's going to slow Hump down. Spurrier throws a lazy head kick and Hump counters with a stiff right hand. Spurrier moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Spurrier closes the distance looking to clinch and Hump counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spurrier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Spurrier looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Hump keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Hump lands a jab to the nose. Spurrier tries to clinch there but Hump circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spurrier lands with a slapping head kick. Spurrier misses with a low kick as Hump jumps back. Spurrier throws out a leg kick but Hump moves out of range and Spurrier only half commits. Hump scores with a hook to the body. Spurrier takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Spurrier with the inside leg kick. Hump misses with a wild body shot. Hump connects with a body shot that sends Spurrier's belly button to the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronald Hump showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Spurrier pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hump dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Hump smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ronald Hump seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice shot by Hump. Hump cracks Spurrier with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spurrier throws a head kick that misses enabling Hump to counter with a crisp jab. Nice jab there from Hump. Hump's corner calls for a 1-2. Hump obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Spurrier misses and Hump holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hump has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Spurrier misses with a body punch.

Hump's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hump lands a hook to the side of the head. Come on Hump - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

A nice right hand lands inside from Hump. Spurrier is trying to break free. Hump avoiding damage.

Spurrier tries to throw a body punch but Hump avoids it by throwing Spurrier back against the ropes. Spurrier is trying to push Hump away but Hump has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Hump manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Hump lands an uppercut. Spurrier just leaning against Hump, taking a breather. Spurrier tries to work over Hump's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hump lands a hook that snaps the head of Spurrier backwards. Hump stalls.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Hump. Spurrier takes a shot to the head. Ronald Hump is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Spurrier's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Spurrier wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hump softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Spurrier trying to control the position but instead, Hump has worked for underhooks and has pushed Spurrier into the ropes. Hump prevents Spurrier from breaking the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hump cracks Spurrier with a nice body shot. Hump stalling.
Hump working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cael Spurrier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hump blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronald Hump comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hump has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
