Lawrence throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've been hearing reports that Boi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Lawrence lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Boi stalks Lawrence and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lawrence's face. Lawrence staggers backwards, shaken.

Boi misses with a two punch combination.
Lawrence moves into range and connects with a jab.
Boi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A left lands for Boi.
Boi walks into a left hand.
Boi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lawrence paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Boi is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lawrence tests Boi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oh Boi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boi misses with a looping right.
BOOM! Lawrence lands a beautiful left hook that drops Boi. Boi tries to recover but Lawrence is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Boi lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malachi Lawrence!
